PAN Madeira, represented by Henrique Andrade, was present yesterday at the initiative of the Teachers’ Union of Madeira where parliamentary parties were invited to present their electoral programs linked to the theme of Education.

Afterwards, there was time for debate and time to answer questions posed by members and teachers present in the auditorium.

In its intervention, the party reinforced the importance of Education in social development as one of its political banners, taking the opportunity to remember the more than 300 teachers hired in the Region who are not yet linked.

In this sense, the PAN defends the binding of all teachers with 3 years of service, regardless of the recruitment group and even if they are not followed.

According to Henrique Andrade, this measure must pay special attention to the delay in placement by the Department of Education “which has caused complete years to not be counted, and this formula, in the view of people-animals-nature, is a way of delaying the effective bonding of teachers”.

“The Regional Department of Education should look at the teaching profession with special attention, as these professionals are the ones who educate future generations. By delaying the appointment of Teachers, the Secretariat not only harms education in the region, but also postpones the dreams of so many professionals who are also parents and guardians”, said the candidate for the regional offices.

Still in this regard, the party defends the “total reformulation” of the status of the teaching career, ending with quotas for access to the 5th and 7th level, and the teaching evaluation should only ensure that the teacher still has the necessary conditions for the continuity of school function.

Finally, in this debate, it was also clear how much the party values the quality of food served in schools. For PAN, the nutritional value of food served in school canteens should always be the priority.

“PAN thus demonstrated, at this SPM event, its responsibility and concern for dignifying the careers of teachers as those responsible for the education of future generations”, he concludes.
