A ALMINAa mining company from Aljustrel, invested 11 million euros in a new Secondary Surface Crushingin a more favorable location/implementation for the control and reduction of dust emissionconsequent improvement in air quality.

The company thus replaces the installation that existed 16 years ago, building a new, more compact and more efficient unit, reducing high maintenance costs, but maintaining the installed extraction capacity, licensed by the TUA – Environmental Single Title and SIR – Environmental Protection System. Responsible Industry, 7,008,000 tons per year.

The new installation occupies only an existing covered space – Stockpille 1, implemented in accordance with a layout more simplified and modernized, using new generation equipment, more efficient and better suited to both the mining activity and the material to be explored.

The previous Secondary Crushing, located next to Lavaria, was located in a layout spread across three buildings, which are connected to each other via conveyor belts, and now, in a more compact layout, the new installation will also allow for redundancy/flexibility in some equipment.
