Around 400 young people and teachers participate this Friday and Saturday (10 and 11 May) in the third competition pole of the Escolíadas competition at the Pavilhão Multiusos, in Viseu.

In competition are the Santa Comba Dão School Group, the Carvalhais Professional School and the Alves Martins Secondary School, which will perform on Friday. On Saturday, the Secondary School of Carregal do Sal and the Secondary School of Tondela will take the stage. Both sessions are scheduled for 9:30 pm.

“From these two days of shows, we expect a great sharing of art, knowledge, talent and creativity among young people. In the sum of the two nights, the 3 schools with the highest scores will qualify for the Polo III Final”, highlights the organization. This final will take place on May 26th, at the Águeda Arts Center.

The founder of Escolíadas, Cláudio Pires, recalls that Viseu has hosted the competition for 10 years “so that the project can reach schools in this region”. Multiusos will receive “the public presentation of the work developed by school communities”, he adds.

The competition is organized by the Escolíadas Association and is considered the largest artistic festival for secondary education, involving thousands of young people from groups of schools and secondary schools in the regions of Aveiro, Coimbra and Viseu.
