The PSP and GNR trade unions and associations reached consensus on the proposal that they will put forward at the next meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on May 15th, with a risk subsidy worth 713 euros, with the extinction of the current fixed rate of 100 euros.

This afternoon, elements of the platform that brings together PSP and GNR unions and associations met and threatened to abandon negotiations if MAI does not present a new proposal next week that meets the demands.

Bruno Pereira, spokesperson, warned that PSP and GNR will abandon negotiations with the Government “if MAI does not come up with a proposal with “common sense” and that comes close to the values they defend for the mission supplement.

According to the proposal, the platform proposes “trend parity” between security forces and maintains the “variable component of 20% of the server’s base remuneration”.

To this is added a “compensation and appreciation inherent to the police condition, in particular the risk, of a universal and equitable nature, of a value equal to 1.4 the value of the Social Support Index (€712.96) effected with the extinction of the current fixed component of €100”.

This increase also has retroactive effects, since January 1, 2023, when the Judicial Police risk allowance came into force.

The proposal that MAI initially launched, which the platform considered “unacceptable and vexatious”, proposed a new mission supplement for PSP and GNR elements of between 365.13 and 625.94 euros.

The proposed supplement is based on the base salaries of the national director of the PSP and the general commander of the GNR and replaces the current supplement for service and risk in the security forces.

With this new mission supplement, officers would have a mission supplement of 12% of the base salary of the PSP national director and the GNR commander, which is 5,216.23 euros, while the percentage for the heads of the PSP and GNR sergeants is 9% and for agents and guards it is 7%.
