James Bond producers invite favorite to replace Daniel Craig (Rumor)

After saying goodbye to Daniel Craig as James Bond, the search began for who will be the next 007. One of the main candidates for the role received the official proposal.

Daniel Craig spent 15 years of his life bringing Her Majesty’s iconic spy to life, with five action-packed films. The British actor gave us a more violent and bloody James Bond than other versions seen so far.

“007 – No Time to Die” was Craig’s farewell letter to this saga, where his version of 007 died like a hero, saving those who were most important to him.

However, with the end of an era, curiosity begins to arise about who the next James Bond will be and when the next chapter in the saga will be able to hit the screens. In recent years there have been many rumors surrounding the so-called “Bond 26”, the provisional title of the 26th film in the James Bond saga, for example when Christopher Nolan was asked, in an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, if he would like to direct a film 007, to which the director of “Oppenheimer” revealed that:

“It would be a huge privilege to do one. At the same time, when you work on a character like this, you are working with a series of restrictions.”

In addition to possible candidates for director, there is a long list of potential candidates for James Bond, including names such as Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, Cillian Murphy (more recently), and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The latter has been one of the most prominent names, with many wanting to see the British actor as Bond, even the saga’s producers themselves.

A source from Eon Productions, the producer of the James Bond saga, revealed to The Sun that a proposal was made to Taylor-Johnson:

“Bond is Aaron’s, if he wants to accept it. The official proposal is on the table and we are just waiting for a response. For Eon, Aaron will sign the contract in the next few days and then they will prepare the big reveal”

If so, it is possible that filming could begin later this year.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is no stranger to action-packed projects, as the British actor has been in films such as “Kick-Ass”, “Bullet Train”, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” , and “Kraven the Hunter”, which marks his return to the world of Marvel.
