The classic ‘Batman’ (1989) directed by Tim Burtonwas recently graced with never-before-seen footage highlighting the iconic pair of rivals: the Dark Knight (Michael Keaton) and the Joker (Jack Nicholson).

These images were revealed as part of the documentary series ‘Icons Unearthed: Batman’.

“After witnessing the brutal death of his parents as a child, millionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne fights crime in Gotham City disguised as the hero Batman, who strikes fear into the hearts of villains. But when a deformed, madman who calls himself the Joker begins to control Gotham’s criminal underworld, Batman must face his most vicious enemy to protect his identity and the woman he loves, reporter Vicki Vale.”

It is important to mention that the new DC Cinematic Universe will begin in 2025 with ‘Super man’.

The film will have David Corenswet as the protagonist, playing Clark Kent/Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan in the role of journalist Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as the supervillain Lex Luthor. Additionally, it will include other heroes from the DC universe, such as Nathan Fillion playing Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Isabella Merced like Hawkgirl, and Edi Gathegi as Mr. Fantastic.

The film opens in July 10, 2025.
