Colin Farrell has outdone himself once again. Now the actor is almost unrecognizable in the main role of “Penguin”, a series that does not yet have an official release date, but is expected to arrive on the Max platform in the second half of 2024.

Colin Farrell reprises the role of Oswald Cobblepot (Penguin), as in the 2022 film “The Batman”. Cristin Milioti (“Palm Springs”) plays Sofia Falcone, daughter of mobster Carmine Falcone.

Andy Serkis (“Planet of the Apes”) is Alfred Pennyworth, butler of the Wayne family, who would later become a true guardian of Batman’s Batcave.

Jeffrey Wright (“Westworld”) plays James Gordon, a Gotham City police lieutenant who would later become the city’s commissioner.

We also have three actors who played “The Batman” returning to their roles: John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, a Gotham City mobster; Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Gotham’s district attorney; and Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, candidate for mayor of Gotham. Interestingly, the producers are also the same as the film: Dylan Clark and Matt Reeves.

The series is set one year after the events of the film “The Batman”, when the Penguin is still recovering from his defeat by Batman and seeks revenge. He becomes involved in a power war with other Gotham City mobsters, such as Sofia Falcone.

The series will also explore Oswald Cobblepot’s past and how he became the Penguin.
