Released a few days ago, the film continues to lead the most watched productions on Prime Video.

Jake Gyllenhaal is back in the spotlight with the remake of Matador de Aluguel, a film that has just arrived in the catalog of Prime Video. Directed by Doug Liman, from Recruit, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Edge of Tomorrow and Jumper, the film also stars former UFC champion Conor McGregor.

In this adrenaline-pumping retelling of the ’80s cult classic, former UFC fighter Dalton (Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a security guard at a Florida Keys establishment, only to discover that this tropical paradise isn’t all it seems.

During an interview with The Tonight Show, the Hollywood star revealed an unusual behind-the-scenes story about the project. In one of the recordings, while Knox’s interpreter was helping the actor learn some moves, a demonstration came out with a lot of force and hit him.

“In fact, by mistake, he punched me in the face. We would do a scene where we were fighting and then we went to watch it on the monitor to see what worked. He was always great to me,” Jake said. “He would tell me to do some things like, ‘Turn your head, move a little more to try to make it look more real.’ It was late, because we filmed a lot of these fight scenes at night, around three in the morning.”

The actor continues: “He was talking to me very close, saying, ‘Yeah, that left hook looks good, but when you do it, boom.’ He hit me by mistake. I thought, ‘Oh!’ and he was like, ‘Oh!'” he recalled.

As you well know, making action films requires a bit of physical detachment, as things like that can happen. Furthermore, the actor must be happy with the result, as just like in other countries, Matador de Aluguel continues to lead the most watched projects on Prime Video.
