In an interview with CBR, Sam Raimi (‘Drag Me to Hell’) broke its silence on the possible development of the fourth film in the original ‘Drag Me to Hell’ franchise.Spider man‘, starring Tobey Maguire.
Unfortunately, the director denied that the project is active, indicating that the studio has no interest in continuing the hero’s original saga.
“I haven’t heard anything about [‘Homem-Aranha 4’]. I read about the rumors, but I’m not actually working on this project yet. I mean, Marvel and Sony Pictures are being very successful with the current ‘Spider-Man’ franchise, so I don’t know if they’re going to approach me and say, ‘We can tell that story too.'”
He completes, “I love all the Spider-Man movies. I loved ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. It was very powerful to see Tobey [Maguire] on paper again. I haven’t talked to Tobey yet [sobre ‘Homem-Aranha 4’]. Maybe Marvel or Columbia Pictures have talked, but I just worked with Marvel on a movie called ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ I have a good relationship with them, so I’m sure I would have listened if the project was in development.”
The hero’s latest adventure, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘, collected US$1.9 billion worldwide – becoming the seventh highest-grossing film in cinema history.
With its success, the neighborhood friend’s new film is already in development. In addition to Tone Holland in the lead role, Zendaya is expected to reprise his role as MJ.
