Rodrigo Faro as Silvio Santos in the filming of the biographical feature film
The biopic of Silvio Santos, owner of SBT (Brazilian Television System) and one of the greatest presenters in Brazil, received its first teaser this Tuesday (2). The production stars presenter and actor Rodrigo Faro.
The film is scheduled to premiere on September 5th this year. The central story will recount the kidnapping suffered by Silvio Santos and Patrícia Abravanel in 2001.
“Good morning, Manoel. Do you know what happened yesterday?”, says Rodrigo Faro, characterized as the presenter. The Manoel to whom the script refers is the father of Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega and a close friend of the owner of SBT: Manoel de Nóbrega (1913-1976).

Marcelo Antunez is responsible for directing the film. In addition to Rodrigo Faro who stars in the plot, the film features actors Paulo Gorgulho, Johnnas Oliva, Vinícius Ricci, Fellipe Castro, Marjorie Gerardi, Eduardo Reyes, Bruna Aiiso, Duda Mamberti, Lara Córdulla, Adriana Londoño and Polliana Aleixo in the cast.
