Netflix movies could be about to be (much) better

-

O Producer Dan Lin – responsible for films such as ‘The Lego Movie’ and ‘Sherlock Holmes’ – begins his role as head of Netflix films this week and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, it appears that the situation is about to change on the service streaming.

This is because, according to the publication, Lin is not very impressed with the latest films released by Netflix. The Hollywood Reporter says that, in a meeting with Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, Lin bluntly stated that the service’s most recent films were not excellent and that the financial side was also not impressive.

Still, Bajaria invited Lin to join Netflix and, once he accepted this challenge, the producer left the company he founded, Rideback. Taking into account Netflix’s ambition to continue producing and releasing new films, it is expected that Lin will have more freedom to invest in different (and better) projects.
