According to VarietyThe TriStar Pictures It is Sony Pictures Television signed an exclusive agreement with Hasbro Entertainment for the development of new adaptations of the classic comic thriller ‘The Seven Suspects‘ (Clue).

The agreement includes new projects for cinema and television.

“Sony is the perfect partner to adapt such a culturally impactful and defining title as the game ‘Clue’,” declared Gabriel Maranohead of the entertainment division of Hasbro. “Nicole Brown, Katherine Pope and their teams are ideal partners and incredible collaborators to help us, after 75 years, unravel this mystery.”

The board game, known in Brazil as ‘Detective‘, was created in 1943, by Anthony E. Pratt.

In 1985, the first adaptation was released on the big screen, starring Tim Curry. In 2011, a miniseries was released, but it didn’t attract the same attention as the classic film.
