Originally released in 2023, ‘Agent X – The Last Mission‘ is available in the catalog Prime Video among the most watched of the week, taking 8th position.
Starring Aaron Eckhart (‘Batman: The Dark Knight’) and Nina Dobrev (‘The Vampire Diaries’) the film revolves around a huge conspiracy when foreign journalists start to be murdered and the CIA takes the blame.
As the world begins to join forces against the US, the spy agency decides to bring back its most brilliant and rebellious retired agent, forcing him to relive his past to try to unmask an international crime scheme.
Although it seems like a very impactful plot, ‘Agent X – The Last Mission‘ registered only 48% approval of critics in Rotten Tomatoes.
Among the analyses, the Movie Nation points out that:
“Eckhart commits to the role, but not all the effort and action scenes are enough to overcome a weak and clumsy plot, leaving the audience with the feeling of ‘Will this never end?’”
