‘Weapons’: Julia Garner joins the cast of ‘Brutal Nights’ director’s new HORROR

According to THR, Julia Garner (‘Inventing Anna’) was confirmed in the cast of ‘weapons‘, new horror written and directed by Zach Cregger – who recently directed the acclaimed ‘Brutal Nights‘.

The actress, who will also be in the cast of the upcoming reboot of ‘The werewolf‘, will star in the production alongside Josh Brolin (‘Sicario: No Man’s Land’) – replacing the actor Pedro Pascal (‘The Last of Us’), who had to abandon the project because of conflicts in his schedule.

Unfortunately, details about their roles have not been released.

Renate Reinsve (‘The Worst Person in the World’) completes the cast.

The plot is being described as “an epic horror story centered on witchcraft and missing children, with a similar vibe that ‘Magnolia‘, an acclaimed 1999 film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson“.

New Line Cinema will be responsible for the production of the project.

The director will also serve as producer alongside the team who previously worked on ‘Brutal Nights‘, as Roy Lee, JD Lifshitz, Raphael Margules It is Miri Yoon.

Filming is scheduled to begin in July.
