“I think we always have to bring something new to the table, because because of our perspective as storytellers, it’s not attractive to do a literal translation. We’ve already done this with our Marvel films. We don’t do literal translations of the comics, because we feel that if you want this story, you can read it. We will deliver something different. I think we will do something in the vein of the original and inspired by it, but bring in new elements.”

Meanwhile, rumors about the cast have already started to emerge on social media. One of them emerged after the popstar Ariana Grande posted on his Twitter two images of Meg, the titular hero’s love interest, which led several fans to believe that she could be being considered to play him in the remake.

She is flattered that fans believe she should play Megara, but it is still very early and nothing has been decided.”
