Cinema is returning to AMC with a selection of films that includes one of the most impressive Oscar winners in the history of the ceremony.
After a surprising month, which featured the screening of “The Da Vinci Code“, with Tom Hanks (“Apollo 13”), and “The Man of Tai Chi” with Keanu Reeves (“John Wick“), AMC is preparing to celebrate its viewers’ appreciation for cinema with a new selection of cinematographic works, but also the premiere of a new fantasy series.
After the success of the premiere of “Interview with the Vampire“, AMC now welcomes another chapter of Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, with the premiere of “Mayfair Witches” on May 27, 2024. The series stars by Alexandra Daddario (“Percy Jackson and the Thieves of Olympus”) and tells the story of a neurosurgeon who discovers she is a descendant of a powerful lineage of witches.

FREELANCERS (2012)
Recent Oscar nominee Robert De Niro (“Killer of the Flower Moon”) and Forest Whitaker (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”) join Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson for this action film that follows a New York police officer who, after his father’s death, joins the group of corrupt police officers he was part of. The film is directed by Jessy Terrero and premieres on the channel on May 4th, at 10:10 pm.
ERIN BROCKOVICH (2000)
Winner of 1 Oscar, “Erin Brockovich” revealed to the world the talent of Julia Roberts (“Pretty Woman”), in a work that follows the story of a single mother looking for work, but with little luck. has found. However, when the young mother begins a career as a legal assistant, her life changes completely, putting her in conflict with a powerful company that is accused of polluting the waters of the local river. The film arrives on the channel on May 5th, at 10:10 pm.
PAPILLON (2017)
The remake of the classic starring Steve McQueen (“The Great Evasion”) is now starring Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek. “Papillon” follows a man who is wrongly convicted of murder, and who ends up developing an unlikely friendship with a cellmate, leading to an attempt to escape the clutches of prison. After the success of the film starring Vin Diesel, it’s Ice Cube’s turn to join Samuel L. Jackson and take on the role of a radical agent with the second film in the saga that will put the agency on a mission to save the American government from an attempted of usurpation. “xXx 2: Estado Radical” premieres on May 11th, at 10:10 pm.
THE HUNT (2019)
A group of strangers wake up inexplicably in a deserted meadow, where they end up being forced to fight to survive without knowing exactly what connects them and why they were chosen to be part of this violent game. “The Hunt” premieres on May 12th, at 10:10 pm.
POKER FACE (2021)
Russell Crowe, Oscar winner for “Gladiator”, takes on a double role as actor and director of this feature film that follows a billionaire from the technology industry who decides to organize a risky poker game with his friends, but which ends up giving way to intrigue full of riddles and violence. “Poker Face” is scheduled to be shown on May 17th, at 10:10 pm.
PROTOTYPE (2020)
After making waves in “Divergent”, Theo James is now a scientist seeking to develop the most advanced Artificial Intelligence ever achieved, but his mission proves to be risky and full of twists and turns. “Protótipo” premieres on AMC on May 18th, at 10:10 pm.
ASSAULT ON THE FORTEHOUSE (2020)
Freddie Highmore (“The Good Doctor”) leads the cast of “Casa-Forte Heist”, a great action film that follows an engineering genius who plans one of the biggest heists in history, targeting the Bank of Spain. The film also features Famke Janssen (“X-Men”), Liam Cunningham (“Game of Thrones”) and José Coronado (“Close Eyes”), and will return to AMC on May 19 , at 10:10 pm.
WASP NETWORK: SPY NETWORK (2019)
The feature film by Olivier Assayas (“Irma Vep”) tells the story of five Cuban prisoners of war, captured by the United States of America, who seek to combat the accusations of murder and espionage against which they find themselves accused. “Wasp Network” features a cast led by Oscar winner Penélope Cruz (“Vicky Cristina Barcelona”), and with Gael García Bernal (“And Your Mother Too”), Ana de Armas (“Ghosted”) and Wagner Moura ( “Narcos“), and is scheduled to be shown on May 24th, at 10:10 pm.
THE COLOGNE (2021)
After landing on Planet Earth decimated by a cataclysm, a young astronaut is tasked with deciding the fate of the surviving population and thus the future of humanity. “A Colónia” arrives at AMC on May 25th, with a screening scheduled for 10:10 pm.
SWAT: UNDER SIEGE (2021)
The SWAT team will have to fight a terrorist group when they try to attack the police base causing destruction and death everywhere, with the aim of recovering a terrorist member captured by the Seattle police. “SWAT: Under Siege” is scheduled to be broadcast on May 26th, at 10:10 pm.
HELLBOY (2004)
The fantasy epic by Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro (“The Shape of Water”) returns with Ron Perlman in the title role. “Hellboy” follows the journey of a demonic creature who is sent to earth and raised by a human. Despite his nefarious origins, Hellboy takes on a career as a protector of humanity, hunting mythical creatures and unraveling the mysteries about his past and his destiny as a destroyer of the world. The film arrives at AMC on May 31st, at 10:10 pm.
