CINEMUNDO CHANNEL

MEMENTO (MAY 6TH AT 5:30 PM)

On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film received a 94% rating. BBC’s Victoria Luxford declares this “a very complex crime thriller. Guy Pearce (at the head) and a fantastic cast alongside Carrie Anne Moss. If you want to see the beginnings of how Nolan became a great director, this is a film to watch.”

One of Christopher Nolan’s first films is one of the big movies on TV this week. According to the official synopsis: “Leonard is a man who loses his memory every 15 minutes since he suffered a blow to the head and tries to discover the people who attacked him and killed his wife using a complex system of polaroids and tattoos to record the information that he doesn’t want to forget.”

AXN MOVIES

THE HANGOVER PART II (MAY 7TH AT 5:55 PM)

According to the official synopsis, “Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug travel to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding. With Doug’s disastrous bachelor party fresh in her memory, Stu isn’t taking any chances.”

In the second part of one of the best comedies of recent years we meet again with Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Bradley Cooper,

AMC

ERIN BROCKOVICH (MAY 8TH AT 6:03 PM)

One of Julia Roberts’ best films is one of the big movies on TV this week. A true story, we follow Erin Brockovich, mother of three, who works at a small law firm. Upon discovering that the water in a desert town is being contaminated and spreading disease among its inhabitants, she convinces the boss to let her investigate the case. Erin uses all of her natural qualities, from her convincing small talk to her physical attributes, to convince the town’s citizens to cooperate, earning her a $333 million lawsuit.

HOLLYWOOD CANAL

IT’S NEVER TOO LATE (MAY 9TH AT 2:10 PM)

“Before they die, an eccentric millionaire and an African-American mechanic, who suffer from cancer, decide to travel around the world, guided by extravagance.” can be read in the synopsis. This film brings together legendary actors Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson.

STAR

MODERN TIMES (MAY 10TH AT 8:45AM)

According to the official synopsis, “Charlot tries to deal with the difficulties of modern industrial society with the help of a homeless young woman.” This masterpiece by Charles Chaplin has a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

TV CINE

SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER UNIVERSE (MAY 11TH AT 9:05 AM) – TOP

This week one of the biggest films on TV is one nominated for the 2024 Oscars – “Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse”. The animated version of the world of Miles Morales and Peter Parker promises a crazy saga.

DON’T WORRY, DEAR (MAY 12TH AT 1:50 PM) – TOP

For our criticism Maggie Silva, the film was based on Florence Pugh – “the great performance of Florence Pugh, capable of taking a very insufficient argument and still defending it tooth and nail and making her words credible. Alice, its protagonist, is limited to whining for much of the film, but Pugh finds a way to give her strength and gravitas.” This big TV movie also marked Harry Styles’ return to the big screen in 2022.
