In an interview with Business Insiderthe actor Chris Pine (‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Rebels’) revealed that he was shocked by the cancellation of ‘Wonder Woman 3‘.

“I was shocked that they canceled a billion-dollar franchise and decided to develop something else. I don’t know the reason behind this; It’s above my pay grade, but Wonder Woman is an amazing character. Patty Jenkins is an amazing director.”

Unfortunately, even if the third film hadn’t been shelved, the actor would still consider his return in the new sequel unlikely: “It would be a bit ridiculous if they tried to bring me back.”

Previously, Lynda Carterfamous for playing the heroine in the series ‘Wonder Woman‘ (1976), had stated that the third film in the franchise would have been very special: “It would be a really interesting, wonderful story and it was about something important. It wasn’t just another ordinary movie.”

It is worth highlighting that Carter would play Asteria, a legendary Amazonian warrior who remained in the world of men while Zeus created Themyscira. The character made a brief appearance in the post-credits scene of ‘Wonder Woman 1984‘.
