The members of the bands Epica and Lacuna Coil are already in Brazil for their show this Saturday, April 27th, on the Summer Breeze stage in São Paulo. Guitarist Mark Jansen, from Epica, published a photo on Instagram at the gym with Simone Simons, Andrea Ferro, Cristina Scabbia and Marco Coti Zelati (the last three from Lacuna Coil). “Working out with these beautiful people,” said the guitarist.

Epica is a symphonic metal band originating from the Netherlands, founded by Mark Jansen after his departure from After Forever. The group was initially called Sahara Dust, but changed its name to Epica in 2003, in honor of a Kamelot album.

Lacuna Coil, another prominent band on the metal scene, originated in Milan, Italy, after a series of changes and the addition of vocalist Cristina Scabbia. Initially called Ethereal, the band changed its name to Lacuna Coil after signing with the record label Century Media.
Their album “Comalies” (2002) marked a high point in the band’s career, featuring a heavier, more dynamic sound, driven by singles such as “Heaven’s A Lie” and “Swamped”. The album’s success led the band to international prominence, including performances at Ozzfest in the USA.
