A crowd of fans and onlookers is already gathering in front of the Copacabana Palace, in the South Zone of Rio. This is because Madonna arrived in the city this Monday (29) and is staying at the traditional hotel. In the early afternoon, she appeared at one of the windows.
To avoid confusion, the Military Police reinforced security in the region. In front of the hotel, two vehicles from the Special Patrol and Crowd Control Battalion are parked with four police officers, as seen by gshow.
When contacted by the report, the PM informed that teams from the 19th BPM (Copacabana) and others from supporting units are on site and that personnel numbers are not disclosed due to strategic criteria.
“Special police will be maintained in the region for 24 hours until the day of the event,” the corporation said in a statement.
At the hotel, the scheme is also one of maximum care. Four security guards at Copacabana Palace control the entry and exit of guests, with a blockade on the sidewalk for cars and tourists. On the sand, in front of the hotel, the Municipal Guard has four vehicles.
Madonna’s show will take place next Saturday night (4) and will be broadcast on TV Globo, Multishow and globoplay. The performance closes the praised “The Celebration Tour”, which celebrates the artist’s 40-year career. This will be the only show on the tour in South America. In other words, it’s unmissable!
