With almost four decades of history, the band that for a long time was known as Biquini Cavadão and now goes by Biquini, is at the forefront of the festival. Owner of nostalgic hits such as Zé Nobody, Vento Ventania and Tédio, in addition to being a veteran, she translates well the mix of rock and affective memory
The vocalist, Bruno Gouveia, told Splash that, when participating in this festival, you feel doubly at home. “Playing in Recife is always a great joy for us and playing at a 30 plus festival for us, who are almost forty plus, it’s even peaceful. We tell our story with songs that have become eternal, whether for those who were little in the years 80 or for those who were already participating in the local scene”, he explains.
Sources of inspiration and godfathers of Biquini’s baptism, Os Paralamas do Sucesso also rock the debut of Rock Rec. Having had a solo career for decades, Humberto Gessinger from Rio Grande do Sul and Nando Reis, from São Paulo, should not leave the public, nostalgic for Engenheiros do Hawaii and Titãs, respectively, worried. In their set list, classics such as Infinita Highway and Os cemos do Castelo have a reserved place.
At the end of the 90s, with Chico Science still alive, Hebert and company performed on several stages in the Southeast and Northeast circuit. The cariocas recorded Manguetown on Acústico MTV. The classics that mix ska, reggae, rock, samba and pop will rock the northeastern public thirsty for rock and nostalgia.
