Madonna fan faces an 18-hour journey from Brasília to Rio to watch a show in Copacabana
Raiana Faustino made a montage with images of her father, who faced an 18-hour bus journey from Brasília to Rio just to see the diva – who he is a big fan of.
José Faustino, 59 years old, spared no effort and was willing to overcome his fatigue during the journey, even undergoing cancer treatment for the third time.
“From a young age he was a fan of Madonna, at home we always listened to her songs, he had a painting of her. He always said that his dream was to marry Madonna. Due to the treatment, he is very weak, he was hospitalized a few months ago and I didn’t believe he would come”, says the daughter, who has lived in Rio for 1 year and 4 months.
Neither distance nor chemotherapy stopped José, who ended up enchanting the web with his reactions to the presentation (see below). Raiana says that, during the show, she was worried that someone would end up bumping into or knocking over her father.
“He sat on the curb for a while to save energy and got up just as the show was about to start. It was very crowded, we were in a corner where he watched on the screen”, he recalls.
The show, which was free, It was one of the best moments of the fans’ lives.
“That moment was a dream come true for him, he spent the show very emotional. In the end, he hugged me, crying a lot, thanking me for it. I think that in his mind this would be impossible to happen. The show came at a very good time, it made him happier, strongerbefore he was very downcast”, comments Raiana.
Above all, for the family, it is important not to lose faith.
“We find the meaning of life in these little things. He is telling everyone that Madonna’s show was very beautiful”, she adds.
