Major Carvalho, one of the biggest drug traffickers in the world, was arrested.

Of Brazilian nationality, he was arrested in Hungary with a false Mexican passport. He was being investigated in Portugal after 12 million were found in Lisbon.

He should be extradited to Brazil, but will be tried in Portugal for money laundering.

Remember that the former major of the Brazilian Military Police, turned head of an international drug trafficking network, was being wanted by the PJ after 12 million euros were found hidden in a van in Lisbon. Sérgio Roberto de Carvalho, 62, was the main target of Operation Enterprise, by the Brazilian Federal Police with the support, in Portugal, of the Judiciary.

Major Carvalho, as he is known, has been arrested twice in Brazil for drug trafficking. In the meantime, he would have moved to the Iberian Peninsula, having a luxury mansion in Marbella and apartments and an office in Lisbon, on Avenida da República. The Federal Police believe that Major Carvalho’s network has, since 2017, sent 50 tons of cocaine to Europe, valued at 360 million euros.
