Heart of Stone will have scenes recorded in several streets of the Portuguese capital.
We were in February when the Parish Council of Santa Maria Maior rebelled against the filming that would take place soon of a new film by Netflix. At the time, the board was against it due to the negative impact that filming would cause “in the quality of life, in the right to rest and tranquility and in the right to mobility of the residents of the covered areas”.
However, the Santa Maria Maior Parish Council does not have “powers to prevent this filming as planned”so the recording plan, which includes scenes recorded in Chiado and Baixa, as well as in Mouraria, will go ahead.
But before that, and until the 15th of July, some streets in the parish of Estrela will be conditioned, as indicated by the council on its official website.
Thus, until July 2, at 8 am, the following streets will be subject to restrictions: Rua de Buenos Aires, Rua de São Caetano, Rua da Lapa, Travessa do Norte à Lapa and Rua de São Domingos à Lapa, Rua das Praças, Travessa from Santo António to Santos and on Rua do Prior.

From the 11th of July from 08:00h until the 15th of July, the following streets will be subject to restrictions: Travessa das Atafonas, Rua do Olival, Rua de São Francisco Borja (7pm – 8pm) and Jardim 9 de Abril.
It is also advised that from July 12th from 8 am to July 15th at 8 am, the following arteries are also subject to parking reservations: -Ld. Dr. José Figueiredo and Rua do Olival.

If you live on one of these streets, Netflix aims to minimize the impact of your presence in the parish. As such, they must complete this form, as the streaming platform will be offering alternative parking spaces, in the vicinity of the filming locations, to residents holding a valid Resident Badge.
As for the movie itself, heart of stone is a spy and action feature film starring Gal Gadot, with a budget of around 95 million euros. The list also includes names such as Jamie Dornan, Alia Bhatt, Sophie Okonedo, Matthias Schweighöfer, Jing Lusi and Paulo Ready. The film will be made by Tom Harper.
