Eagles also remember Scottish restrictions on alcohol and tobacco

In a note published on the official website, Benfica leaves some warnings to fans who have tickets for this Thursday’s meeting, at Rangers’ stronghold, counting for the second leg of the round of 16 of the Europa League.

The eagles begin by informing that the meeting point has been defined as Praça St. Enoch (or St. Enoch Square), approximately four kilometers from the meeting stage.

The plan foresees that travel to the stadium will be done by metro, but Benfica makes it clear that fans “should avoid Ibrox station”. This is because it is in this area, close to the eastern top of the venue, that Rangers fans tend to gather, in bars, or even in the fan zonewhich is precisely on that side.

The recommended alternative for Benfica fans is the Govan station. A little further away from the stadium, but on the side of the entrances that are indicated for visitors.

Benfica also warns that, in Glasgow, the consumption of alcoholic beverages on public roads is prohibited, and that smoking is prohibited inside the stadium, including electronic cigarettes.
