It will be in July that Samsung will officially present the new generations of its foldable smartphones along with other highly anticipated technological treats such as the Galaxy Ring.
But the most recent rumor refers to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which will arrive with significant and very welcome updates. We tell you all the details.
Two different chips and generous RAM
The information comes from a user on the social network X who signs as Kro Roe and is relatively unknown. This leaker says that Samsung will launch, for the first time, its foldable shell with two different processors.
Depending on the region where it is sold, the Galaxy Z Flip6 can integrate the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Exynos 2400. It seems that Samsung will follow the strategy applied to the premium Galaxy S24 series also in the small foldable.
But the good news doesn’t stop there. According to the same leaker, the new Flip6 will have two RAM memory configurations. One with the usual 8 GB that its predecessor has and the other with a generous capacity of 12 GB.
But be careful, according to Kro Roe, this variant will only be available in some regions of the world. Still, it is still a relevant update that reflects the brand’s commitment to its foldable shell.
But there is more and equally good. This leaker confirms that the model can also integrate a larger 4000 mAh battery. Remember that the Flip5 has a 3700 mAh unit.
Last but not least, Kro Roe also states that Samsung is working to ensure that the Flip6’s external screen supports a 120 Hz refresh rate.
If this information is confirmed, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will once again be subject to substantial updates this year. Last year, Samsung decided to renew the Galaxy Z Flip5 by giving it an external screen measuring a generous 3.4 inches. This model is available in Portugal, on the brand’s official website, for a cost starting at €999.90.
