Pinto da Costa presented Ricardo Valente as a candidate for the presidency of the Fiscal and Disciplinary Council on his list running for elections next April, after the name of D. Américo Aguiar had also been announced as number one on the list for the Superior Council . Two new faces that could be accompanied by other names that enter again and that fit into the renewal that the current president had anticipated.

“I said I would carry out a renovation, not because I wasn’t satisfied, but because I wanted to change some things and wanted to revitalize. Anyone who comes in again always has more enthusiasm, it’s normal, anyone who came in with me, after three terms, is capable of enthusiasm is not the same, so I’m really building a new team, in which I have a lot of confidence”, said Pinto da Costa, speaking to Porto Canal, this Thursday afternoon, after delivering more than two thousand signatures from members who support him to Lourenço Pinto, president of the General Assembly Board, at the FC Porto Museum.

The delivery of signatures is a normal procedure in electoral races, as well as what Pinto da Costa expects election day to be: “Today was a normal day, it is part of the electoral act itself, it is the first step for it to take place I hope everything goes normally, as has always happened at FC Porto.”

As for expectations for the elections, Pinto da Costa did not go beyond “predictions only at the end”, amidst smiles…
