European University will install hub at Oriente Green Campus – Companies

The European University signed a contract to occupy more than 17 thousand square meters in the Oriente Green Campus office building, next to Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, the institution said in a statement this Wednesday.

The hub to be installed in the eastern part of the Portuguese capital makes the European University the first occupant of the building, which should be completed by the end of June. The area represents almost half of the Oriente Green Campus.

The contract, lasting 20 years, was signed at the beginning of April between the Europa Education group, which includes the European University, IADE and IPAM, and the Orion Capital Managers Multiusos Oriente fund managed by Norfin.

“We are very pleased to have an educational establishment with an international dimension, such as the European University group. The needs of the tenant meant that we made changes to the infrastructure, which resulted in two autonomous buildings within the Oriente Green Campus “, indicates Henrique Rodrigues da Silva, COO of the Norfin Group, cited in the statement.

“We are excited to welcome Europa Education’s new university campus to the Oriente Green Campus. This partnership underlines the commitment to supporting educational excellence through a sustainable and innovative building. This initial mandate, which will occupy an independent section of the building, marks a step significant move towards the successful repositioning of the asset, which will soon also accommodate prime corporate tenants”, highlights Gauthier Renaud, Partner at Orion Capital Managers.

Carlos Bertrán, general director of the Europa Education group in Portugal, highlights that “this new campus is more than a simple state-of-the-art, modern and avant-garde infrastructure; it is the materialization of a qualitative leap in the field of innovation, quality and dynamism in teaching and learning experience that the institutions offer to students. The building will become an essential piece to boost not only the Europa Education Portugal project, but also the development of higher education as a whole”.

In April it was announced that the Swedish fund EQT, owner of the real estate portal Idealista, had reached an agreement to buy a majority stake in Europa Education from the British private equity fund Permira.

The Oriente Green Campus has a total interior area of ​​42,100 m2 and 19,700 m2 of outdoor areas.
