NThis Thursday, Correio da Manhã made the cover with a robbery at the home of the founder and current president of Sport TV, Joaquim Oliveira, in Cascais. The man was apparently surprised by an armed duo, when he was with his wife and friends. Hours later, Pinto da Costa, president of FC Porto, classified him as “FC Porto’s great enemy”.
“We all know that FC Porto’s greatest enemy for a few years now is Mr. Joaquim Oliveira from Olivedesportos. We all know that he did not accept in any way that we had exchanged 320 million that they gave us for 450 that MEO gave us and that’s why they support this candidacy”, said the historic leader, at Casa do FC Porto, in Espinho.
This is an enmity that is not new. Furthermore, Pinto da Costa spoke about the names on his candidate list for the FC Porto elections. “The deadline isn’t over yet, it’s only ten days before the elections, so we still have a deadline. But I’ve already presented three new names for my leadership, which are Dr. João Rafael Koehler, who is here by my side, who will be the administrative manager. I have already introduced António Oliveira, our former player and coach, and I have already introduced Dr. Marta Massada, who I believe everyone knows, who is a doctor, provides services at FC Porto and who is a great Porto fan. These I have already presented, naturally I will present everyone in due course before doing so officially”, he guaranteed.
He ended with words about the reasons that led him to re-run for another term, which ends at the age of 91. “When normally it would be more comfortable, and perhaps I deserved to be able to enjoy my last years just watching FC Porto without responsibilities, I understood that I had to do it. Because I didn’t like the way another candidacy presented itself and especially with its supporters. “
