Pep Guardiola reinforced, on Saturday, the importance of being able to count on Bernardo Silva in the Manchester City squad. At a press conference, after the victory against Newcastle (2-0)which guaranteed access to the FA Cup semi-finals, the Catalan coach was asked about the future of the Portuguese international, who has been tipped for a possible exit.
“Everyone loves Bernardo and wants him to stay. Even the goals are deflections! It’s very important that he stays with us. Really very important. “Vai ser muito duro. Precisamos de toda a gente. Mas já disse muitas vezes como Bernardo Silva é muito importante pessoalmente e em termos de futebol aqui [no Manchester City]”, concluded the Manchester City coach.
It should be noted that Bernardo Silva was the scorer of City’s two goals that defeated Newcastle.
