Germany beat France 0-2 this Saturday night, in a private game. Florian Wirtz and Kai Havertz scored the winning goals for the Germans in Lyon against Les Bleus.

The match started immediately with Germany’s first goal; just seven seconds were enough for Florian Wirtz to score his first goal in the ‘Mannschaft’ shirt with a shot from the edge of the area after a pass from Toni Kroos.

Despite the early goal, France tried to react and the first half was very balanced between the two teams.

And just as happened in the first half, Germany started the second with another goal; four minutes into the second half and Kai Havertz just had to push the ball into the empty goal after great work from Jamal Musiala, who took goalkeeper Brice Samba out of the way to serve his colleague.

The Gallic team tried to react to the disadvantage, however, it was always Germany who came closest to scoring, with the exception of a move where Mittelstaedt failed to intervene, but Rudiger was there to clear the ball over the line.

In preparation for the next European Championship, France will face Chile on Tuesday, while Germany will host the Netherlands.
