Paris Saint-Germain won the Clásico away from home against Marseille, Benfica’s opponent in the Europa League, 2-0 and recorded their third consecutive victory, on matchday 27 of Ligue 1. Vitinha and Danilo were starters for the Parisians, while Gonçalo Ramos came on in the second half. Nuno Mendes was not used due to injury.

In the 40th minute, the referee went to the monitor and showed the red card directly to Lucas Beraldo, who brought down Aubameyang, who was heading towards the PSG goal alone. Lucas Hernández and Danilo received yellow cards for protesting, but Luis Enrique’s team ended up playing with one less player on the field close to half-time.

In the second half, at 53 minutes, Vitinha created a true work of art. The midfielder started the play in midfield, passed it to Dembele, who passed it back to the Portuguese international, who with great class fired the ball to make it 1-0 in favor of PSG.

Shortly after the hour of play, Luis Enrique sent on Gonçalo Ramos to replace Mbappé, who was not at all satisfied, and the Portuguese striker didn’t need long to make his mark in the match. This time the assistance came from Asensio, who also came on in the second half. The number 9 of the team from the French capital took the count and celebrated towards the Marseille fans’ stand.

With this result, Paris Saint-Germain now has 62 points and is the leader of Ligue 1, with a 12 point advantage over Brest, who is 2nd in the championship. Marseille appears in 7th place in the table, with 39 points.

In other Ligue 1 games this Sunday, Brest defeated Lorient 1-0 away from home. Toulouse won 3-0 at Clermont. Montpellier beat Le Havre 2-0. Nantes triumphed over Nice 2-1, while Strasbourg beat Rennes 2-0 at home.
