On loan to PAOK until the end of the season, Benfica midfielder Soualiho Meité admitted he felt happy in Greece. Speaking to Greek media outlets, the French footballer said he welcomed a possible permanent transfer to the Thessaloniki team.
«I want to help PAOK achieve all its goals. We have two competitions open and I want us to finish the season in the best possible way. After all this, we can look at the other questions. Stay here? Why not?”, he began by saying, quoted by SDNA.
Regarding the current season, the 30-year-old athlete says he is focused, mainly because he has to play every three days: «We have to be focused to continue playing every three days. We also have games in European competitions (Conference League). A team with high goals has to be ready to play this often».
Remember that the 30-year-old player arrived at the Luz club in 2021/2022, from Torino, but had some difficulties imposing his football. After that, two loans followed: to Cremonese last season, where he played 35 games in Serie A, and this season to PAOK, where he has played 33 games for the team where the Portuguese Vierinha, André Ricardo, Rafa Soares and Zivkovic play.
