Pinto da Costa’s accusations against Villas-Boas “are lies”

President and re-candidate Pinto da Costa considers that the arbitration teams have been harming FC Porto since André Villas-Boas announced that he was going to run in the elections for the national vice-champions in football.

On the SIC Notícias antenna, Luís Cristóvão analyzes the accusations made during an interview on SIC and SIC Noticias and considers that “they are lies” and that Pinto da Costa is “failing completely when criticizing your opponent”.

“I don’t think there is a FC Porto fan who thinks that arbitration issues can be linked to electoral issues”, he assured.

For the commentator, During Pinto da Costa’s interview, the issues surrounding the funds, SAD and FC Porto’s investments and financing were not clarified.since the president and re-candidate showed “neither know much detail about the club’s financial situation nor its relationship with the funds”.

“He said several times that the financial situation in the signed contracts was the responsibility of Fernando Gomes, a person who won’t even be part of his new list, and this leaves a bit of a lack of responsibility in relation to the club’s situation.”

Regarding the objectives proposed by Pinto da Costa, for the commentator it is normal for the president and re-candidate to have the objective of FC Porto going to a European final, not just because it is a “speech he has had for 42 years” as “It always looks good.”
