Rafa Silva is at the end of his contract with Benfica and there has long been talk of a possible departure from the Luz club next summer. After being linked to a move to the Middle East, the Portuguese now appears on the list of a European club.

The newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport writes in its online edition that Rafa is one of the players targeted by AS Roma to reinforce the squad next season.

The team from the Italian capital is keeping an eye on some athletes who are at the end of their contract, such as Rafa, in order to face the possible departure of Romelu Lukaku, who is expected to return to Chelsea after completing his loan period.

Italian Gianluca Scamacca is AS Roma’s number one target, but is considered an unreachable target for the Giallorossi. Hence the names of Rafa Silva and Batshuayi from Fenerbahçe appeared on the table. And if the Portuguese’s move to Italy is confirmed, the 30-year-old forward will meet Bryan Cristante, who was previously with Benfica.
