Fight for penta

Benfica and Sporting play today, at 4pm, at Pavilhão João Rocha, game 2 of the final of the National Volleyball Championship. This is the highlighted topic on BNews.

1. In search of the 2nd victory

After the triumph last Sunday, April 21st, Benfica is looking to extend its lead in the final of the National Volleyball Championship and remain one triumph away from winning its fifth championship.

Marcel Matz defines Benfica’s approach to the match: “We are preparing well, and we expect a difficult game. We will go all out to put pressure on Sporting.”

There are already dates and times for the games of the 32nd and 33rd rounds of the National Football Championship, in which Benfica visits Famalicão and hosts Arouca, respectively.

SL Benfica and HK Aranäs, from Sweden, signed a cooperation protocol for the development of training methodologies and their professionals.

8. Good performance

The Benfica gymnasts performed well in the territorial individual and synchronized trampoline championships.

9. Benfica Foundation initiative

As part of the “Benfica Faz Bem” project, José Muller, from the Under-23s, and Marta Martins and Carolina Cruz, from the women’s basketball team, were at Escola Básica D. Dinis, in Odivelas, to share their experience as young athletes .
