DAZN announced this Thursday that it will once again broadcast the Formula 1 world championship in the 2025-2027 three-year period, including in the package all the Grand Prix, training sessions, qualifications and sprints of the competition.
The television channel had already broadcast the sport in question, between 2019 and 2021, at the time as Eleven Sports, but Sport TV currently holds the rights, but only until 2024, that is, the current season.
«We want to continue the growth of motorsport in Portugal and, above all, continue to value our product for sports fans. The next Formula 1 seasons promise to bring many new features that will have an impact on the competition. Adding the biggest motor competition in the world to the best football in Europe is another important step for DAZN to become the global reference in sports entertainment, and with the best portfolio of sports content in Portugal”, said Jorge Pavão de Sousa, director- general of DAZN in Portugal.
It should be noted that DAZN also acquired the rights to Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 Academy and Porsche SuperCup.
