It’s an all-or-nothing game, in the derby that will decide the national title, today (7pm), in Luz. The four-time champions won the first phase and, with the series tied (2-2), will want to benefit from the home advantage in the fifth game of the playoff final, showing favoritism, but Sporting has grown as a team and promises to replicate, after two victories at Pavilhão João Rocha.

Speaking to BTV, the Reds’ coach, Marcel Matz, wants to make good on the advantage of playing in Luz, where the Eagles won their two victories: “The fans supported us a lot, they pushed us to win. If we are with a positive energy, I hope that the bench will support us even more, so that we can be superior and win the fifth championship.”

João Coelho, Sporting’s coach, wants to counter the host’s favoritism: “The games have been balanced and away we have already threatened that it is possible to discuss the result. The opponent can grow, but we cannot break. We will want to play eye to eye, discuss the game and the title. There is no other result we want to fight for”, said the coach to the lions’ website.
