Simone Inzaghi confirmed this evening that Mehdi Taremi will be an Inter Milan player from June. The coach of the newly crowned Italian champions saw the Iranian’s goal in FC Porto’s victory against GD Chaves (3-0), following Inter’s defeat against Sasssuolo (0-1).

“Has he already been signed? Yes. He is an important player, of international caliber. He has already scored a lot of goals and we are happy. We need to increase the number of our strikers and have more rotation. We will have a stronger and longer squad, that’s for sure “, said Simone Inzaghi, in statements reproduced by journalist Daniele Mari.

The 31-year-old Iranian was a starter today in FC Porto’s victory at Desportivo de Chaves, in the 32nd round of the Portuguese First League, having scored, from a penalty, the third goal of the ‘dragons’ triumph, by 3 -0.

At the end of the match, speaking to SportTV, the FC Porto coach praised the professionalism of the Iranian, who is finishing his fourth season with the ‘blue and white’ club, having already scored 89 goals.

“As you saw today, he is a fantastic professional. He played as if he had ten years on his contract and that’s what’s important to me. It would be stupid not to use a player with quality, because we think he will go to another team”, said Sérgio Conceição.

The Iranian striker will join the Italian champions, after ending his contract with FC Porto. In Portugal, in addition to the Dragons, Taremi represented Rio Ave.
