It won’t be until next year that Apple will launch a new iteration of its affordable model. But lately there have been many rumors about the new iPhone SE 4. The most recent one shows images of a protective cover that confirms that the model will have lots of good news.
To begin with, this new SE version will have a different design from its predecessors, based on the iPhone 14. But the best thing is that the screen becomes OLED and gains size, becoming 6.1 inches.
This is a very significant update, considering that the previous model has a 4.7-inch LCD screen.
More news dictates the abandonment of the Home button and Touch ID functionality. The first will be replaced by a possible personalized action button and the second by Face ID for a new form of user authentication.
The images now presented by leaker Majin Bu show a cutout for a single rear camera. Now, the new feature that users are looking forward to.
Some rumors suggest that this sensor will have a resolution of 48 megapixels. If this information is confirmed, this could be one of the most significant updates, since the latest iPhone SE has a rear camera with just 12 megapixels.
Last but not least, this model will arrive equipped with the universal USB-C input for charging and data transfer.
Given all these updates, the price of the iPhone SE 4 may be a little higher than usual. No rumors have yet come up with a cost forecast, but most of Apple’s usual sources point to this increase in the final retail price.
