WAs previously indicated, Google begins this Tuesday, April 2nd, the process of closing its app dedicated to podcasts.
Despite having been installed more than 500 million times on Android cell phones around the world, Google Podcasts will no longer have the attention of the technology giant. The objective is to centralize audio content on YouTube Music, which will be where Google Podcasts users can continue to find their favorite programs.
Google has not yet provided details about plans to close the app for the rest of the world, but Google Podcasts is not expected to continue to have a future beyond this year.
