New home appliances allow greater connectivity between the entire ecosystem, using AI to improve their daily performance

Lisbon, Portugal – A Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. reinforces its presence in the area of home appliances with the introduction of a new range of intelligent equipment that uses Artificial Intelligence technology to improve performance, energy efficiency and create an increasingly comfortable user experience. In the case of Samsung refrigerators, these include SmartThings AI Energy Mode, a function that uses AI to intelligently control and optimize the temperature. On the other hand, the new Washing Machines can save up to 25% of water and time in each wash cycle compared to a conventional washing machine.

Nuno Parreira, General Manager of Samsung Portugalstates that “in 2019 we presented our BESPOKE line where we elevated the concept of innovation by showing users that each of our household appliances can also be a design piece adaptable to each space or lifestyle. Five years later, we want enhance each user’s routine and habits through an increasingly integrated ecosystem that uses Artificial Intelligence to elevate the home experience to a new level.”

Home appliances that do more than meets the eye

Whether from screens integrated into refrigerators that transform these appliances into authentic control centers for any home, or washing machines that become increasingly efficient with each wash cycle, even when cold, Samsung currently offers a completely integrated ecosystem and accessible via a simple click on the SmartThings app.
In addition to all the technologies presented and aiming to use cutting-edge products that go beyond what we know, Samsung applies engineering solutions that extend the life cycle of products, reduce the frequency of replacements and contribute to the conservation of resources, with an increase in terms of recycling.
The future of sustainable home appliances

In addition to creating an improved home experience, Samsung is also committed to developing devices that can help build a better future for both the environment and society. The implementation of more sustainable practices is a reality in the production of your household appliances, from the selection of new raw materials to the design of each model. In recent years, Samsung has been using recycled resin in the plastic parts of its home appliances and aims to apply this resin to 50% of plastic components by 2030.

More efficient than class “A” – New Washing Machines
The new range of washing machines is one of the new features of 2024, where energy saving is one of the fundamental points, being able to obtain up to 40% extra efficiency in the washing process. The core technology leading the extra energy savings is Bubble Shot, which sprays the soapy water inside the drum onto the clothes, pulling it through the circulation pump. This means the clothes get wet easily and the detergent penetrates evenly, increasing the overall efficiency of each wash.

This technology also helps users save up to 25% of water and time in each wash cycle compared to a conventional washing machine, where only 20% of water is saved. On the other hand, AI Ecobubble™ technology allows wash cycles to adapt to the clothes placed in the drum. Depending on the type of fabric detected, the machine adjusts the amount of foam needed to quickly remove dirt and stains, as well as the washing time, water temperature and spin speed. Therefore, it washes as effectively in cold water as in hot water, reducing energy consumption by up to 70% compared to washing in hot water.

More efficient and less noisy
In new refrigerators, Samsung implements a set of exclusive solutions to reduce energy consumption. The highlight is SmartThings’ AI Energy Mode, a function that uses Artificial Intelligence technology to intelligently control and optimize temperature.

Thanks to technology based on Artificial Intelligence, with SmartThings AI Energy Mode, we are able to achieve incredible savings of up to 15% of extra energy in our refrigerators. These advances are possible thanks to intelligent temperature control that optimizes consumption without compromising the freshness of the food.

Among the new features, the 4-door refrigerator (RF65DG960ES) includes the Triple Cooling™ functionality, which offers the ability to individually manage the different compartments of the refrigerator according to the user’s needs, thus creating a dynamic home refrigeration center.

On the other hand, the Combined Refrigerator (RB53DG703DS9), in addition to SmartThings AI Energy Mode, includes SpaceMax™ technology that allows greater storage capacity in the refrigerator without increasing the external dimensions, this is only possible by reducing the thickness of the walls of the refrigerator. refrigerator to maximize interior space. Despite the increase in capacity, the technology maintains the energy efficiency and performance of the equipment, with the advantage of offering efficient organization of food, making use of the available space without compromising the aesthetics of the kitchen.

In the Portuguese market and from April 17th we will have the following models available:
· 4-Door Refrigerator: RF65DG960ESR – RRP €3199
· Combined refrigerator: RB53DG703DS9 – RRP €1149
· Washing machine 11kg A-40%: WW11DB8B95GHU3 – RRP €1249
· Washing machine 11kg A-20%: WW11DB7B94GEU3 – RRP €1049
