This 2024 version of the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is thinner and lighter than its predecessor. It is therefore ‘more portable’. And don’t think that the lightness was achieved by cheating in the construction. The chassis is made from a single piece of aluminum, Apple-style, which has advantages in terms of strength and appearance. The immaculate joints between the different panels and the chamfered edges, machined with great precision, demonstrate the attention given during the manufacture of this machine.

As has been customary with Zephyrus, the lid has a differentiating element, in this case, an LED strip of white lights. It’s not as flashy as the perforated panel with hundreds of LEDs available in last year’s version, but we believe this solution is significantly more economical and ends up being more sober. As usual, customizing the lights can be done in the Armory Crate app. There are several options, from completely off – perhaps the most suitable for a work meeting – to different animated patterns. It is even possible to make the LEDs ‘dance’ to the ambient sound, although the choreography does not accompany the music well.
