Google is preparing to launch some new features in Gemini, its AI model, with a new mode called “Conversation”. This mode will focus on providing users with more “human” forms of communication.

The system must use the company’s AI to create a fluid conversation chatbot, which will work in a similar way to the Continuous Conversation system present in the Assistant. Users could have a natural and realistic conversation using Gemini when this mode is active.

The same was discovered within the https://twitter.com/AssembleDebug/status/1783051903393505302, which may indicate that it will be focused on use on mobile devices. For now, the functionality is still under development, so it is not accessible to everyone. It is expected that Google will still develop it before launching it for everyone.

At the same time, this new feature could also be a way for Google to encourage users to use Gemini more, instead of the Assistant. Remember that Google has been trying to replace the assistant with the new Gemini application, although currently the app is still considerably more limited than what the Assistant can accomplish.

At the moment there are still no plans to entirely replace the Assistant on Android and iOS devices with Gemini, although its application is available for those who wish to replace it.
