Following the information provided yesterday by Spanish Vandal, who says he was informed by accessory manufacturers about the size of the Nintendo Switch 2 and the new magnetic controls, we now have more unofficial information about Nintendo’s next console, this time coming from China.

Billibili reinforces what Vandal shared about controls that connect to the Nintendo Switch 2 screen by magnet (we still don’t even know the official name for the console, which, allegedly, will only arrive in 2025), but adds more information about the controls, compatibility with the cartridges of the current console, and also on the screen.

This unofficial Chinese source says that the Nintendo Switch 2 will have an 8-inch screen, capable of running games at resolutions up to 1080p in portable mode, but if you connect it to a screen via the Dock, it will still have a USB-C port, it will be capable of supporting images up to 4K.

The Switch 2 will be compatible with the Joy-Con and Pro controllers of the current console, it will be compatible with games on the current Switch and you will even be able to put the cartridges in it, but you will not be able to use the cartridges from the new console in the current one.

BilliBili also says that like the console itself, the new Joy-Cons will be larger, connected magnetically, with metallic SL and SR buttons. Additionally, each new Joy-Con will have a new button on its back and a new button below the Home button.
