O Instagram announced that it will make some changes to its algorithm, now giving priority to original content that is shared on the social network.
As the company states in a blog post, the change will have an impact mainly on aggregator accounts that share content from other pages. Instagram recognizes that, until now, the pages with the largest number of followers have benefited the most, but with this change, the social network hopes to correct the situation.
“We think it’s important to fix this to give all creators the same opportunities to reach new audiences.”said Instagram.
This change will take effect over the next few months.
