When Samsung revealed the new Galaxy S23 Ultra, one of the biggest new features was its main camera. The 200 MP sensor was one of the company’s strong selling points.

However, rumors suggest that no major changes should be made in this field with the new generation of the device. The leaks known so far indicate that the Galaxy S25 Ultra should maintain the 200 megapixel HP2 sensor, with no changes compared to previous models on the market in terms of photographic performance.

According to the leaker https://twitter.com/UniverseIce/status/1783318705314652321, Samsung should instead focus on improving other areas of hardware, especially at the processing level. Furthermore, there are still impediments in terms of the hardware itself, such as the fact that the camera module does not allow major internal changes to the device if the company intends to maintain the “flat” design of the screen.

However, although the main sensor may not receive changes, it is possible that the company will make changes to the secondary sensors, namely the telephoto camera, which should receive improvements.

Furthermore, speaking of models other than the Ultra, it is expected that the base versions of the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus will also integrate 50 MP sensors, capable of providing considerable improvements when capturing photos and videos.
