iPad Pro with 5.1 mm, Ultra Retina XDR display and M4 chips presented by Apple

The rumors about Apple’s Loose Yourself event ended up being confirmed: the brand even announced new iPads (Pro and Air), as well as an Apple Pencil, which now receives the ‘Pro’ designation. But the big highlight ends up being the iPad Pro, which Apple says is its “thinnest product ever”: 5.1 mm.

This “record thickness” is only in the thirteen-inch model, since the iPad Pro with an eleven-inch screen is 5.3 mm. Both models have Ultra Retina XDR displays (2420 x 1668) with 264 ppi and Pro Motion technology that gives them a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

The iPad Pro also has a new chip, the M4, but with differences in versions, depending on storage: the 256/512 GB ones have 9-core processors (three performance cores and six efficiency cores) and a 10-core GPU. core, plus 8 GB of RAM; The 1/2TB ones come with a 10-core M4 (four for performance and six for efficiency) and 16 GB RAM, keeping the GPU.

These iPads can now be ordered on the Apple website, but will only start shipping to customers on May 15th, just like the Air and Pencil Pro; prices start at 1229 and reach 2439 euros.

Apple announced, as rumors indicated, a new Pencil, the Pro, which costs 149 euros. Now, this Apple digital pen has ‘Pinch’ and ‘Barrel Roll’ functions, in addition to tactile feedback.

In this keynote, the brand also revealed new Air models, in eleven and thirteen inch versions with Liquid Retina screens, M2 processors and a new camera on one side, for horizontal use. Prices start at 729 euros.
