Two suspects involved in the death of app driver Juscelino de Sousa Rosa, aged 35, became defendants after the court accepted a complaint from the Tocantins Public Ministry (MPTO). Luis Carlos Silva Vale Júnior and Marques Dhones Leopoldo do Nascimento allegedly shot the victim and a woman who was in the vehicle in Araguaína, in the north of the state.

According to the complaint from the 4th Public Prosecutor’s Office of Araguaína, the woman was in a bar in the city and, together with two other people, called a driver through an app to go to her house.
The accused would be there observing the victims, who were believed to be involved in criminal groups. When the victims left the bar, the now defendants in the case followed the car. On Av. C they stopped and opened fire. Juscelino died at the scene, the woman was injured in the leg.
The expert found at least 14 holes in the car and four shots hit Juscelino.
The 1st Criminal Court of Araguaína accepted the complaint on Monday (29). They will answer for the murder of Juscelino and the attempted murder of the passengers. Qualifiers include the clumsy motive, a resource that made the victim’s defense difficult and common danger, as the shots were fired on a public street.
