players want to disable death effect

-

The Modern Warfare 3 community is uniting against a cosmetic feature of the game: “death effects”. Those are the animations that appear when you kill a player, you know? And now, a specific variation has caused players even more irritation than normal, as it makes a very loud noise, betrays their location and can, on certain occasions, cause the player’s vision to be blocked.

A post on Reddit started the noise, which has had repercussions. This specific animation is from the “Sketched Out” Pack, which recently arrived in the Call of Duty store. It makes a gigantic cartoon-style animation, which can greatly affect the gameplay. The main complaint from players is the fact that there is no option where it is possible to simply disable the feature in the game.

Many players agreed with the original author, as one user said: “I prefer any skin to this death effect, you can hear it all over the map, for God’s sake. All death effects are annoying, but this is by far the worst.” Another player commented that these things shouldn’t even be in the game: “So annoying. It doesn’t even fit with CoD”. Another controversy for the already not so well talked about Modern Warfare 3.
